Issue 2 of Volume 8 of the journal Repique (July–December 2026) features four interdisciplinary research studies focused on cognition, economics, and law. Iván Silva Tufiño examines how music enhances brain functions such as memory, attention, and language. Mauricio Paredes analyzes private-label brands in the Ecuadorian retail sector, highlighting their evolution from low-cost products to high-quality alternatives that strengthen customer loyalty and profit margins. Jintong Liu and Ruxu Yang study the coverage of the Chancay megaport in the Chilean media, revealing a predominantly negative framing based on geopolitical risks and economic competition. Finally, Luis Latorre Salazar proposes a model of logical thinking for legal practice based on three cognitive phases to ensure certainty in the evidentiary process. Taken together, this issue addresses the influence of music as a neurological driver of cognitive development, the evolution of private-label brands as a business strategy in Ecuador, the media impact of the Chancay megaport on Chilean geopolitical perceptions, and the restructuring of logical thinking in the practice of law. Through these articles, this issue offers valuable theoretical and practical contributions that bridge the social sciences with neuroscience, marketing, and legal epistemology.
