Conflict of interest
The Journal expects authors to declare any commercial associations that may constitute a conflict of interest in connection with the article submitted.
Due to the nature of the articles that may be published in the journal, conflicting interests may arise that could affect editorial impartiality or fairness to authors; therefore, each author must make an effort to identify them.
In this regard, authors must attach to their article and statement of commitment a letter addressed to the journal clearly and concisely stating whether there are any conflicts of interest, specifying each one. In this letter, they must also specify the source of funding for the research carried out, as well as any commercial, financial, or personal ties that may affect the article or the publishing institution.
Procedure for duplication
For the duplication of texts, which consists of the possibility of copying or reproducing, one or more times, a literary content or work in a new medium (digital or any other format), the Journal follows the following general procedure: All editorial material for which duplication has been requested or determined shall be headed with a legend that clearly identifies its status as a duplicate and distinguishes it from the original.
To carry out this type of reproduction, the applicant must complete the internal duplication request form and send it to the journal's email address (see form). The form must be completed by the person responsible for the procedure, even when it is the journal itself that determines the need for duplication.
Procedure regarding originality and plagiarism
For the purposes of this policy, originality must be considered from two perspectives: first, as the certainty that the work comes from the person who claims to be its author; second, that it is novel and different from others created previously. The concept of plagiarism also refers to the work or article being distinguishable from copies, forgeries, or unauthorized derivations, or from the unauthorized or inappropriate use of fragments of other works.
It is the responsibility of authors to ensure the originality of the articles submitted to the journal, as well as the accuracy of the data and results included therein, clearly and concisely stating that the contents are original and have not been copied, invented, distorted, or manipulated.
Plagiarism or unauthorized use of content belonging to others or third parties, in all its forms, is totally rejected by the Journal; similarly, multiple or redundant publication is considered a serious breach of ethics.
Authors shall refrain from submitting texts to the Journal that have been submitted simultaneously to another journal; however, content that expands on other content already published or under consideration may be published, provided that the text on which it is based is duly cited.
