Repique. Revista de Ciencias Sociales is a platform dedicated to the exploration of social sciences, culture and humanities, in their relationship with contemporary societies, from an interdisciplinary perspective. In a very particular way, it welcomes original theoretical and academic analysis and reflections on the specificities of the populations of the Ecuadorian coast and their priorities, with the aim of promoting research, dissemination and appropriation of the intangible cultural heritage by the indigenous peoples and nationalities and the Afro-Ecuadorian people of the area. However, it accepts articles that focus on other geographic spaces as well as theoretical analyses and reflections.
Repique. Revista de Ciencias Sociales, is a refereed journal of scientific character, specialized, dedicated to the continuous publication of 2 issues during the year in January and July, the works that are approved must be original and unpublished in Spanish or English version. Repique. Revista de Ciencias Sociales, is a publication edited by the Universidad Técnica “Luis Vargas Torres" of Esmeraldas-Ecuador, through the management of the Vicerrectorado de Investigación, Innovación y Posgrado. All articles submitted to the journal for publication are evaluated by the Editorial Committee for their quality and relevance and undergo a double-blind peer review prior to publication. The journal does not maintain any APC and is fully funded by the Universidad Técnica "Luis Vargas Torres".
