School-based intervention as a prevention strategy: a review of the scientific evidence

Resumen

La prevención de la delincuencia en el ámbito escolar representa una prioridad tomando en cuenta a la asociación entre violencia, conducta antisocial y trayectorias delictivas futuras. El objetivo del trabajo es analizar la evidencia científica sobre los programas, acciones y estrategias preventivas implementadas en el ámbito escolar para la prevención de la conducta antisocial, la agresión y la delincuencia juvenil.. Se empleó la metodología de revisión documental comparada fundamentada en la síntesis de las evaluaciones experimentales, cuasi experimentales y metaanálisis. Los hallazgos muestran coincidencias en la eficacia de los programas cognitivo- conductuales, el fortalecimiento del clima escolar, el desarrollo de las habilidades sociales y las intervenciones antibullying. Los estudios identifican como menos efectivas a las estrategias aisladas basadas con exclusividad en actividades recreativas e informativas. La principal diferencia está en que la revisión de 2016 incorpora evidencia más sólida sobre el bullying y violencia escolar. Se concluye que las intervenciones tempranas, integrales y basadas en evidencia constituyen la estrategia más efectiva para prevenir conductas antisociales en contextos escolares.
